CHATHAM-KENT ORGANIZATION REGISTRY
www.unitedway.chatham-kent.on.ca
Many communities today are burdened by shrinking resources and increased demand for service. To meet the challenges successfully, the three sectors of the community - business, government and voluntary - are learning to work together. The entire community benefits when these three sectors share knowledge and experience and collaborate on activities designed to achieve a common vision.
As a means of assisting our community to develop innovative ways of responding, our United Way - through its
Nurture the Future
Project - has assumed a leadership role in
community building
. This process focuses on what we already have in our community, rather than on what is missing. There are numerous initiatives involved with the
Nurture the Future
Project. These include the establishment of a
Chatham-Kent Funders Alliance
and a
Chatham-Kent Community Resource Centre
and
Volunteer Bureau
which would offer such services as
Leadership Development
and
Grant Writing
.
This survey has been designed to gather information about the wealth of resources that exist within our local organizations - resources that can be shared with others. The survey also asks your organization to identify potential requirements - requirements that may be met through communication with others.
The survey is in three parts and will take approximately fifteen (15) minutes to complete. The knowledge about what is available - and who can help - will place us all in a better position to develop strategies for building a stronger, safer, more caring Chatham-Kent.
We expect to use the information gathered from this survey primarily to match resources to identified needs. We know that the more we learn about our community, the more we can make positive differences in our lives. By completing this survey, you are becoming a partner in our journey of exploration and in making our community a better place to live.
If we see a potential match in the community, we will contact you to inform you of that opportunity.
Thank you for your participation.
